  1. Wash and Peel the bottle gourd (lauki) then grate it.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
  3. Finely chop onion, tomatoes and green chilies.
  4. Add onions to the pan. and cook over medium heat until translucent.
  5. Once onions are done, add tomatoes into it. Stir occasionally. Cook for about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and salt. Mix well.
  7. Add green chilies and let it cook for 30 seconds.
  8. Add bottle gourd to pan and mix well.
  9. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes. - Switch off the flame and Lauki/ Dudhi bhurji is ready.
