  18. Prepare 1 tsp Turmeric powder -
  19. Take 1 tsp Red chilli powder -
  20. Make ready 1 tsp Coriander powder -
  21. Take 200 grams Paneer -
  22. Take 1/2 tsp Garam masala -
  23. Prepare Dried fenugreek leaves - 1/2 tsp
  24. Prepare 1 tsp Sugar -

Soft and succulent paneer dunked in this creamy tomato and cashew based gravy makes this paneer curry worth indulging in. If you love Indian Vegetarian Food Recipes then do try this one as well! Paneer lababdar recipe - Delicious North Indian restaurant style paneer gravy made with onion, tomatoes, cashews, grated paneer and paneer cubes. Paneer lababdar is most commonly seen on the North Indian Restaurant menus.

Instructions to make Paneer Lababdar:
  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok. Add cumin seed, black pepper, cloves, green cardamom and dried red chilli. Roast them for a minute. Now add musk melon seeds and cashew, roast for 2 minutes. Add garlic and ginger whole then add onion and tomatoes roughly chopped. Add salt and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Let the mixture cool and grind into fine paste.
  2. Add 1 tbsp oil and butter in a pan. Add 1/2 tsp cumin seed, bay leaf, turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder and add tomato onion paste. Cover lid and cook for five minutes on low to medium flame. Add 2 tbsp water and little bit salt and 1 tbsp mashed paneer cook again for 2 minutes.
  3. Add paneer pieces, garam masala, sugar and dried fenugreek leaves. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes. Garnish with grated paneer and coriander leaves. Paneer lababdar is ready to serve.

Though not as popular as the paneer butter masala & paneer makhani, it is a favorite among many who love paneer in rich and delicious spicy gravy.
